Little Miracles

I just have to share with you all some of the little miracles and blessings we've experienced these last few days. I traveled alone with Sadie to Georgia and back again. She was super fussy the whole time we were there, and was waking up at 4:00am (which is 3:00am cst). I was packing to leave, and was at my wits end. Sadie was screaming again (like she was being cut in half) and I was exhausted. I fell to my knees and prayed to my Heavenly Father to please help me get through the flight and be able to handle Sadie. I was so very blessed by airline personnel and by the couple I sat by on the plane. People offered to hold her while I got all my stuff together, checked in my stroller/carseat for me so I didn't have to move all my crap and Sadie too. We were able to make it back, and I was able to keep my sanity.

She totally looks like my monkey baby here :)

On another note, I have been crazy exhausted lately and can't barely get myself out of bed. I was driving to work with the girls in the car, and I bumped the car in front of me. I was terrified and beyond tired so I didn't know how it happened. I got out of the car, and the woman in front of me got out of hers. We made sure each other were okay, and then I apologized and told her that I wasn't paying as good of attention as I should have been, and that my baby was screaming in the backseat. She told me that her baby was also screaming in the backseat, and I'm sure she could tell I was exhausted, so she told me not to worry about anything (there was no damage to either car, which is a blessing in and of itself). Then she gave me a hug (which I needed, but she could never have known), and sent me on my way.

I am so grateful for kind and generous people. It helped me remember that despite all the horrible things that are going on in the world today, there is still goodness and kindness out there. I hope I can teach my darling Sadie to be the same type of person to those who might need her.
